Reading Recovery Council of North America
Developed by New Zealand educator, Dr. Marie M. Clay, Reading Recovery is a short term intervention for students who have the lowest achievement in literacy learning in the first grade. Students meet individually with a specially trained teacher for 30 minutes each day for an average of $46 Million Dollar Scale Up What Works Grant Awarded to The Ohio State University and UTC's Across the U.S.A. to train Reading Recovery Teachers over the next 5 years.
